President/Principal

Rafael Peña, Jr. is President and Principal Engineer at RPJ, Inc. Consulting Engineers. Mr. Peña is a registered Professional Engineer with the State of Florida with over 40 years of experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Mr. Peña earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Florida and is a well-recognized and respected engineer within the community.

His technical paper titled “Effect of Inner Surface Air Velocity and Temperature upon Heat Loss and Gain through Insulating Glass”, was presented to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) in 1973.  The paper was awarded the “Best State of the Art Technical Paper” for 1973 and published in ASHRAE Transaction. He is a registered member of ASHRAE, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the United States Green Building Council (USGBC).

Senior Associate

Siro Del Castillo has not only established himself as a pillar of human rights for the community on a global level but has contributed over 30 years to RPJ, Inc. as a senior electrical engineer. Siro’s experience started at an early age, 21, as an architectural designer for the National Institute of Tourism in Cuba where he worked for six years and later on as an electrical contractor when he migrated to Miami. Shortly after, Siro kept on within the construction industry but as an electrical designer for Manuel Perea P.E., Inc.

Vice President/Principal

Adrian Peña, Senior Associate Engineer and Project Manager at RPJ, Inc. Consulting Engineers, is a registered General Contractor with the State of Florida with over 25 years of experience in the fields of consulting engineering and Construction. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University. His specialties include mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design, project management, life safety and cost analysis. Adrian has also 10 years of experience as owner of a general contracting firm in which he constructed high-end residential homes, commercial buildings and tenant improvement projects.

Senior Associate

Adriano Denis has been with RPJ, Inc for over 15 years. He has established himself as the office’s backbone and lead plumbing designer. Adriano is a graduate from the University of Havana with a major in Mechanical Engineering. His contributions and experience have helped establish the firm’s solidity with its peers and colleagues.

Head of Electrical Department

Duniel Aguila-Leiva has been with RPJ, Inc for 5 years. He holds a master’s degree from the Central University (UCLV) in Cuba. Duniel has field experience as an electrician for several electrical companies, before venturing off to consultation. He specializes in electrical and fire alarm systems.

Head of Mechanical Department

Erich is our firm’s newest addition. He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Design from the University of Puerto Rico. He has experience in all MEP design including plumbing and HVAC in residential and commercial projects.
